d16 turbo
i have the full turbo kit for my eg with a d16 and i was gonna put it in this wekend and only run like 4-5pounds of boost because it is all stock internals but a lot of my friends are saying that even at 4-5 pounds i will probably blow the motor so i dont know what i want to do now i was just wondering what you guys think and if you have done this before and if any1 with a boosted single cam has blown the motor at 4-5 psi and how long it took. thanks

my buddy has been boosting his d16y8 on 11lbs for over 2 years now. It's all in the tuning. Get it done right and your motor will treat you right. Get it done wrong and BOOM.

would it kill you to use a period? seriously, that must be the longest sentence ever written.

Re: (bigandy90)
fmu will work but it's not the best way.....something such as uberdata, crome, neptune etc all of those aren't too costly and will give you a nice tune good power and good gas milage

Re: d16 turbo (bigandy90)
I just finished tuning my d16y8 tonite. At 10psi on a t3/t4 50trim .48a/r, 2.5" open downpipe, I made 255.12whp and 215.44lb-ft of torque. All stock internals except for arp headstuds.
Tune it well at it should be fine.
