Default a couple quick boost Q's

OK, I dont own a Honda, so Ill get that out of the way. Generally speaking if one to own a turbo charged SOHC car running 7.7:1 compression and a 11:1 AFR @ 7lbs boost would a 5 lb increase in boost pressure net any noticeable gains?

I am only asking because I have started to invest quite a bit of cash into an older Subaru model, and want to crank the boost a little. This car doesnt get raced much, but does see a lot of rally-x and I just want it to be a little quicker.

Now I know different engines respond differently to different mods, and I know this IS a Honda message board, but generally speaking the people of the FI forum on HT are some of the most intellectual "general knowlege FI" people I have seen.

I have gone to different Subaru message boards, and noone seems to really know anything...about my car or in general.

So here is what I have.

87 Subaru gl10
Mods:
JDM EA82T engine swap SOHC 7psi boost
CAI
WRX TMIC
3" down pipe into 2.5" exhaust, gutted cats, no muffler
3.9 running gear (stock is 3.7)
nissan 280z injectors (1.5 times the flow of stock)
NGK plugs
Accel wires
IHI VF7 turbo

Also I did a search for about 30 minutes, but what is a good in cab VBC? Thanks.

Yes it should be noticible unless your running really high boost already. I used to have an old mitsibishi Starion that ran 5psi boost, It had 8.0:1 compression. When I bumped the boost up to 12psi it was like night and day difference, Was probaly another 30-40hp

A very GENERAL rule of thumb is 10hp for every pound of boost.
