I'm pretty set on just turboing my del Sol si(d16y8) and just have a few questions. How much boost can the stock block handle? I'm gonna go with the apexi kit and was wondering how hard it is to install? I know the basics to installing a turbo but I may just get a shop to do it to make sure nothing gets screwed. How much power can the stock tranny/axels take? I may just run stock 6-7 psi on the kit but at the track I'll probably want to kick it up to whatever the block can handle. Any help is much appreciated.

 

That block can handle 8psi but you will need to get some fuel upgrades. Atleast a fuel pump and a fmu. Also I say install it yourself. Its really not to tough except for taping the oil pan which i would suggest you have a shop do for you. Also your going to feel better knowing that you did everything yourself and didnt pay a shop. Your probally looking at atleast $400 for the install. You might as well start to learn about doing engine stuff because a turbo setup needs to be taken care of. Good luck
