Default Lots of questions, and my future setup

This is the message that I sent to Inline Pro

I was wondering how much do you charge to install a turbo kit. And how much do you charge to install pistons+rods. Do you guys install other companies turbo manifolds. I'm going to be going with a custom kit and just buying stuff separate here and there. I want to make 300-325 hp. I'm looking at two turbo's but can't decide which one is best SC34, or GT32/55.

Here is their response

We do turbo kit installations. A typical turbo kit installation is $1450. It is $1250 to rebuild a short block if you bring us the block out of the car. That includes bore, hone, hot tank, deck block, gap rings, balance pistons and rods, measure bearing clearance, blueprint and assembly. It is normally about $1450 to remove and replace the short block depending on what kind of car it is. If you have anymore questions let us know.

Now my question is do I need to have all that stuff done to the block just to have a turbo civic. I know that those guys are the best but damn look at those prices it almost discourages me from going turbo. So the motor(b16a2) also my DD has about 90k on it now and plan to be boosting by end of summer or so if every thing goes right. So do I need to have all that stuff done to the block, or will I be just fine with pistons and rods?

Set-up

Spoolin performance(cheaper)/inline pro mani
Spoolin performance down pipe and dump tube
SC34 or GT32/55
Precision 350 hp intercooler, piping from some where
Tail WG 38 mm
HKS bov
Honda s200 w/ boost
Rc 550s
And all the other small stuff

This is for my DD and all I want to do is be boosted but be safe at the same time. I don't want a Enzo beating drag racer, I'm looking to make 300-325 hp. So what turbo is best for me the SC34 or the GT32/55? How much will it cost just to install pistons and rods? And is their any of you guys in the VA/MD area that would help put on my kit, and of course I'll pay you something

Thanks
Alex

You can just buy a kit that's proven like full race or Rev Hard and not worry about what else you need. In the end it all adds up. Little things like oil lines, piping, silicon hoses, T-bolt clamps, Gaskets etc....

You Gotta pay to play
