Default Could this happen?

Has anyone ever heard of someones turbo blowing and blowing their motor? Can this happen???

There would be a higher chance of your engine blowing and ruining your turbo than vice versa. I've never heard of anyone's engine blowing from a bad turbo though, maybe if a piece of the compressor wheel broke off and you weren't using an intercooler, but I can't imagine that happening.

Why are you concerned about it?

because i bought a used t3/t4 .60 .63 a/r turbo kit, and it has some shaft play. But i hear its because theres no oil in it, and turbos tend to get like that when there dry. BTW its not on. the main reason is because my buddies tend to think its going to blow, and then ruin my motor. I told them i have never heard of such a thing and i doubt it happens...thanks alot man!

eagle rods, CP pistons, 3 angle valve job, mild port and polish, manley titanium dual valve springs and retainers, .20 over bore
