Is it common for oil return lines to leak oil?
I thought I remembered a while back some people posting about how its common for the oil return line to leak oil? Because mine leaks not a lot, but, I've got a piece of cardboard underneath the car in the garage right now, and over the past 3 weeks of having my car, its built up a decent size amount of oil from the line. But not enough where my dip stick was low.
But anyways, who else has this problem, and is there a way of fixing it?
Thanks in advance

find out where the leaks are coming from, wether is leaking with oil pressure i.e. car is running or not i.e. oil pan lekaing
then find out where it is from...
most common ones are the return line is not straight down the path, building up oil in the lines and sits around the drain flange where it would leak. this one if not taken care of will eventually clogged up the line blowing the seals on the turbo
second most common is the welding of the oil pan fitting..
fittings too tight.
and etc...

It leaks when the car isn't running. And its dripping off of the return line that leads up to the turbo. If I remember correctly, the line does lead straight up. There's not really any leveled out part where the oil could sit without moving a certain direction.
