Default clocking a turbo, need it to be balanced?

Hi,
I have a gt2510 turbo which I need to convert to a top mount. I couldn't get the snap ring off one of the housings so i just unbolted some of the side bolts instead and I was able to then clock the compressor side housing. The exhaust housing side was easier to loosen since it just required bolts and a hammer . But my question is, would the turbo be off balanced or something since I did this method instead of the correct way, which i think is to take the snapring off and rotate the center housing only?

the housings have nothing to do with the balance of the wheels. The center section is balanced.. you can change out housings and it will be ok. So clocking and moving them is ok to do as well.
