chipped ecu need aftermarket map sensor?

Default chipped ecu need aftermarket map sensor?

im planing to buy a chipped p28, will i need a 2bar, 3bar map sensor or i can use my stock one? im only be boostin around 8-10 psi. and oh do you have any recomendations where to buy chipped p28 with basemaps?

to run 10 psi and have a useful boost cut, get a 3 bar and be done with it.

if you have a stock engine that can handle a given power out put, and say will die at 12 psi. if you run a stock map sensor, it can only see 11.2 psi. so if cut is set for 12 psi, the ecu will never see 12 psi, and engine carnage will result.

if you plan on running 10 psi on a 11.2 psi map sensor, you may creepa little to 11 psi and have a hiccup from boost cut being that high.

get a 3 bar, you may not now go to 28 psi, but you can in the future, and your boost cut will work properly.

boost cut is a safeguard if the turbo gets out of control. to not grenade the engine.

No, a wastegate is an actual part on the car.
Boost cut is a software feature that allows your engine management system to not allow your vehicle to exceed x psi read by the map sensor...
