Boost Cut
Guys what causes Boost Cut? sometimes when I step on the throttle the engine is like "backing off" like doing a launch control while moving, that is the feeling. help.
d16 t28, 450cc, uberdata(with launch control which actually sucks ill get it removed), stock block, stock fuel pump. running 9psi, stock map sensor
launch control and 9 psi on a stock map
ok is the launch control disengaging?
second, are you goin past 9 psi past the limit of the stock map? running a 10psi boost cut on a 11.2 psi map sensor has been known to cause issues because they are so close and the parameters of the stock map are too tight.

mikey, you are wrong... the map sensor will just read the highest colum (whatever that may be) you can run 30 psi on the oem map sensor, if you have the fuel there. i dont recomend it, as its not going to be accurate... but whatev.

I don't think that's what he's saying. 10psi boost cut on a stock map sensor may cut too early because the volt readings aren't very far apart.
Does uberdata have boost cut? I never bothered to use the software.

-launch control disengaging? NO. thats the thing. for example when i am cruising about 60kmph in neutral and i smash the throttle or even just 75% pressure on the gas pedal, the launch control will still work. isn't it that they only work at idle? or so i thought?
- my tuner told me that the tune was good for up to 12psi, that is the limit of the map i think. i do not raise the boost, just 9psi ever since.

thats what i was talking about dave....i know you can go past 11.2 but for the boost cut to work properly at 10 psi (or close to the 11.2 limit) you need a larger map
i understand about tuning the last column for the highest boost.
