Cant get my boost to hold 14psi???
Well, i've been boosting 12psi for a while now. I have a TD05H 14b turbocharger,
with an aftermarket turbine housing with a 38mm internal wastegate. I am using a stock actuator, and have a Turbo XS HP boost controller. I have the actuator getting its feed from right off the compressor. When i was running 12psi or less the car would hold 12psi to redline. I recently bumped up my boost. No matter how high i raise it my boost is not holding more then 12psi. If i raise it to 14 or 16psi it will hold it for a second, then it starts to drop as RPM is going up. By the time i'm at redline boost is down to 12psi. Is it possible my compressor cant feed enough air into my engine and has maxed the compressor out? I was thinking about using a different boost source for my wastegate, but i dont want to overspin my turbo and build up excess heat. The whole problem started when i put on my new turbine housing with larger wastegate. With my stock turbine housing i was having serious boost creep past 5500rpm. Now my boost creep is gone, but i have boost spikes and boost wont hold any more then 12 psi to redline. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
