Default CAN'T GET A BOLT THROUGH THE TURBO TO BOLT UP MANIFOLD?????????

I just got my BMC log manifold today and I got some bolts but need to be 1/2" longer and I can't get one of the bolts to go through the turbo flange due to the oil flange. I have a turbonetics T3/T4 50 trim .48 A/R. Is there a special way to bolt this up to the manifold? It can't be the manifold cause I can't get the bolt in with the manifold off. Any ideas let me know thank and hopefully I can get it bolted up in the morning

I also searched but it was all what size bolts for what manifold etc.

you need to clock it. tighten the bolts down to the manifold and then clock it back to the original position.

OK now for a newbie What does clock it mean. Sorry I have done a lot of motor work but never the term "clock it" Please help out. I prob know what it might be but just a different term. dunno Are you talking about taking the bolts out on the exhuast side and moving it then putting htem back after it's bolted up?

To get my turbo onto my manifold, I actually had to pull the turbine housing off the turbo, bolt that to the manifold by itself, then bolt the rest of the turbo on.

To clock means to loosen the bolts that hold the compressor and turbine housings to the CHRA, and then rotating the CHRA and compressor unitl it's in a desirable position.

ok well I've never taken a turbo apart will anything fall out when I unbolt it? Or will I be fine by unbolting it and bolting the turbo to the manifold then putting the turbo back together like you said "dax"

you just gotta loosen teh bolts get a rubber malet and give it a wack or spray some WD40 depending if its an old or new turbo. then itll rotate. rotate to what you need. then tighten it all up. they're 1/2 bolts. u can use a 13MM wrench if you dont have a 1/2. but yes. just rotate the centersection and you shoudl be able to get all bolts in. tighten up to the manifold. then rotate center section as needed and tighten.

I know I just like to post it once in a while.

About FI do you know anything about DIY CO2 IC sparyers? Would a tank and a copper line be fine or would I need more? I searched and eveyone seems to have it setup differently than I want it. I just want turn the *** on the bottle next to me on cool it down turn it off and race. Just a thought let me know here or IM me if you have a idea thanks

If you do remove the housing from the turbo, just be very gentle and careful not to damage the blades on the turbine and compressor wheels. Nothing should fall out.
