What wastegate? You shouldn't be using the top fitting without a boost controller on a tial etc...

You want the side port..

im using a t3/t4 turbo and the wastegate is used. but what is the point of buying a new spring if its not the spring thats causing it to over boost

if you have boost spikes.. not just always being over boosted... thats usually an indication of a poorly designed manifold.

Do you have a boost gauge?

1) Hook the boost gauge up directly to the compressor and check the PSI levels right out of the compressor.

2) Hook the boost gauge up to the intake manifold so you can read the boost level at your throttle body... A .5 - 1 PSI drop is expected, anything over and you have a leak somewhere in the plumbing.
