Default Can anyone tell me some info about this GT28r?

Hey guys- I recently purchased this Garrett GT28r as part of it kit- I was under the impression it was a aftermarket one, but from the looks i think its just a factory one off a Nissan maybe? I was told it has 6000 miles on it, but I doubt it from looking at it-- The shaft moves in and out, as well as side to side. I think I will have to buy a new center housing too--
Anyways can anyone tell me what its off? I called ATP and they said it should have a stamp on center housing if its aftermarket garrett- otherwise its factory

Also the wastegate flaps around? Is that normal? usually i run external- this is my first internal WG

Lastly, the coolant ports are dirty as hell-- Is there anyway that oil could be seeping into the coolant passages, contaminating the coolant with oil and vice versa?

The S15's had ceramic bearing T28 turbos, but the others were more typical T-series. A t28 is technically a t3 compressor with a t25 turbine. BB turbos are essentially worthless if they have noticable shaft play, but a small amount is allowable for a non-bb turbo. If that is just 6k, it was on the dirtiest motor you'd ever see. Chances are the motor had terrible blowby and the pcv valve was junk. That would let lots of oil into the compressor.

The wastegate shaft should be adjustable. It almost looks like the flapper's outside arm is bent - the peg on it should be parallel to the flapper shaft.

That is NOT a ceramic turbo, look at the nut holding on the exhaust wheel.

The ceramic wheels have a wierd almost hex shaped nut with no grinding marks on it for balancing. That is a steel wheel turbo.
