Default camshaft limits

I B18C1 motor with a low compression build intented for turbo. running stock valves with titanium valves springs and retainers , along with Brain Crower stage 2 turbo camshafts attached to stock cam gears. I notice alot of honda's are running ITR/CTR camshafts in their turbo cars. I was wondering at what point do the Brain Crower stop making power? Is it true about the ITR/CTR making power all the way to 10K or 11K rpms?

ive always said, the biggest cams makes the most power. alot of people said, no it will bleed boost. that pro1 cam test made them start to rethink it

I always say that the "RIGHT" cam makes the most power.
It is wery easy to overcam your engine too.

The Stock type R is a proven turbo cam on hondas, and so is the Pro 1.

Kinda like its easy to overturbo your engine. T3/T67H.O. @6psi FTW! The difference is that your head comes stock including 'small' cams, but your motor doesn't come stock inluding any turbo. If you don't make enough whp, you can always upgrade cams later.

There have been some rather simple 1.8L setups that do 400+ on a bone-stock dohc vtec head, and in those cases it was pump gas being the limit. I know someone like Tony1 did some test, and it was something like 550whp w/stock cams, then +60whp with ITR cams. A lot of it has to do with your intake manifold, turbo, and what rpm you plan on making your power.

If you poke around, you'll find the stock cams aren't so much a limit, its just that people decide $600 for 20-50whp at the same PSI isn't a bad deal.
