i heard that if you get pulled over in california with a nitrous bottle hooked up, they can automatically impound your car on the spot..
can anyone confirm or deny this?
im interested because im going to be running a 60-1 non-bb and would possibly like to add some spray to help before i get my boost at like 5k..
the motor is fully built so im sure that it can handle the squeeze as well as the turbo but i would like to keep my car in my possession. also, i was thinking like a 60-75 shot because my setup is:
84mm aebs b18b bottom end
stage 3 p&p b16 head (full skunk2 valvetrain)
pauter rods
cp 9:1 pistons
68mm power tb/victor x
gsr cams

this is gonna be daily driven with around 350hp or so on bfg 215/50/15 and buddy club p1 suspension.

 

the bottle has to be disconnected from the line.... Thats the state law.

Now if the state law is broken and what the officer decides is necessary or what the state law reqiures.....

so if i were to run nitrous, id want to hide the solenoid somewhere and run everything to the bottom of my manifold?
do you know anyone whos gotten pulled with nitrous?

 

the lines can be there, just the bottle can't be connected. My friend kind of got pulled over for his NOS, just sent him to the state ref. My friends were doing a photo shoot and a cop came up to them and checked out their cars
