CRX Ram horn clearance issues!!!
91 crx Si, hood touching my Full-Race prostreet ram manifold. Theres a huge gap between the hood and bumper. There's no way its going to fit. The setup is a LSVtec with the hasport mount conversion. Full-race traction bar.......the radiator is also touching my 44mm tial wastegate dump pipe. I finally got the radiator(PWR half size) to fit, but now the hood will hit the radiator before the ramhorn. The set up looks great, but I need my hood to close nicely. Daily driver.
Searched, but not enough information on my problems. ????? any fix besides a one piece front end.........

have you cut the webbing out of your hood ?
haha here is a suggestion... switch to a b16 setup, the b16 block has a lower deckhight and it will place you mani down lower... better chance of shuting that hood. not saying this is the best option. but its an option....

that manifold is not designed to be used on a crx. i think you will have to do alot of work to get it all to work.
heres what i had to do with mine to get my radiator to fit.
i also had to relocate my wastegate, which was a pain in the ***
but the hood closed!

Re: CRX Ram horn clearance issues!!! (TIGboy)
U all have nice setups, but very similar to mine except my setup is full-race with the back door intercooler. Only if I can close my hood. I would think full-race would fit nicely???? Full-race is an awesome product, but I'll try to take some pics and post them up that way everyone can see what I mean. thanks!!

just because the manifold is nice doesn't mean it will fit all engine bays. Having an EF means having to think outside the box. Dont' give up just post some pics and maybe we can figure something out.

Yes, I finally fixed my issue thanks to all the pics given by HT members!and suggestions!! This is what I did.......I sawed away my RF headlight bracket (slightly) to clear my radiator and then took all the webings underneath the middle of the hood on upward to the front(no more hood latch) will now use hood pins. Slight rubbing is noticed by the timing cover area, but I'll live with it for now until I get a VIS hood.
The hood and bumper now fits like stock except with a huge FMI only. Thanks again everyone!! Oh yeah, I will not be running a wategate dump tube anymore due to radiator clearance issues. ( oh well)

be careful with that, inert air causes a big power loss, and the suit can get all over everything.

its just a pain in the *** to do turbo setups in ef's and DA's with the small *** engine bays. come to think of it i dont think i even even seen a boost ef with AC before.
you should try cutting the webbing on the hood and maybe useing spacers to proob the hood up higher, and/or geting a jdm hood
