A/C Lines... Anyone have to replace them?
Anybodys a/c line insulation melt from being too close the the manifold? the full race a/c kit looks to be pretty close to those lines.
If you guys did replace them what did you do to prevent them from melting again? possibility of aftermarket lines that are more flexible?
Thanks

yeah i had to replace one of the lines, cost me 120 bucks, shop price. its terrible. your best bet is to put header wrap on the manifold to reduce the temps.

would it be possible to do it yourself? what materials do you need? where do you buy it at?

they have to be hardlines right? no chance of using anything a bit flexible?

You can use flexible line but its expensive. Aeroquip has a line of AC fittings but they are $20+ bucks a fittings plus the braided line is pretty expensive per foot. You need to use hose rated for R134a because its very line and can permeate through certain types of material.

Good info
it is expensive, but might be worth it just s you never have to worry about it again.
Anyone actually done this setup?
