Vacuum lines...quality...???
Will just some regular vacuum lines from autozone work or do I need something better. The ones I picked up today say 6.4mm FUEL/EMISSION SAE 30R7. Are these good enough?
Vacuum lines a vacuum line. But if it's available try to pick up some silicon vacuum line kit. It's usually a bit thicker and more heat resistant. For like $20 (or so) for a kit, it's a good investment.
Personally, all my vacuum lines, fuel lines, and oil lines, are gonna be braided lines. Nothing half-***, do the best on everything the first time, make it as reliable as possible. There isn't anything like doing something right until you get down to one "minor" detail and that minor details blows your motor, shoots pieces of valve out the manifold destroys the turbo and flushes a couple grand down the toilet.

What brand of braided lines are you using? Do you have any pics? Thanks

proper vacuum line actually has a vacuum rating, maybe not printed but find the packaging it comes in and check the rating, you need something for redundancy sake in the order of VAC 40"Hg and pressure to 40PSI, if you check MCmastercar they actually rate their lines. fuel line is not meant to be under vacuum therfore their is usually no vac rating, you will never know if it will reduce in diameter/pinch under vacuum.
