Building Boost While not Moving?? How To?
So...using the uberdata FTL (full throtle launch) and stock ignition system could lead to a bad dizzy? I never would have guessed, since I was under the assumption that uberdata just cut ignition, not retarded it. I'm assuming that the warnings are mainly for hondata, since you guys are implying their 2-step retards timing, not cutting it?
I always hated the sparking part of the car...talking about timing issues make me feel retarded (lol).

That's not what he's saying, he's talking about running a MSD box without an external coil.
Uberdata launch control cuts fuel only, it doesn't do anything with the dizzy or spark or retarding timing at all. No worries.

What about an msd box with the external coil... is that still just as bad for the dizzy or is that the whole point of the external coil?

Running an MSD box along with a coil is the ideal situation, I had it on my car and many others I worked on, and every one was driven daily. You should ahve no problem with that setup as far as replacing dizzys so don't worry about it.

Exactly; I was just saying if you decide to go the 2-step route you should go ahead and replace your ignition with an 6al/sci box + coil + cap; instead of just using the 6al/sci box w/ the stock distro. I've known a number of people to have bad luck with that setup but YMMV.
