Default Building a b20b for high boost?

Hi, my name is Kevin and I'm getting ready to build my b20 for a decent amount of boost. I'd say around the 15-20 psi range. Now just to start off I've heard that the b20 is weaker then the LS obviously due to the fact that it's a 2.0, but if I plan on re-sleeving it (most likely Darton) then that should eliminate that problem. Now in terms of building the rest of it, can anybody help me out on what a good set-up may be?? I was planning on pistons, rods, semi-building the head and a block guard and then going from there so if anyone out there has some useful advice for me it would be greatly appreciated. Also I've heard some rumors that people always spin a rod bearing with the b20 build whether it be a b20 vtec or a b20 turbo due to a poor bore/stroke ratio. Is this true? If so, I'd have to say that that's most likely due to improperly building the engine to begin with or failed part or parts in one place or another. Any advice would be great, thanks.

Don't use a blockguard. Boost pressure isn't going to be nearly as detrimental in having the motor last as horsepower or proper tuning will be.

Build the motor with the intent of making more power than you want right now, it's better to over-build than under-build. CP's & Manley's/Pauters would be great.

Speak to some engine specialists shops regarding having the motor assembled and go with whom you feel most comfortable with.

Laskey Racing, InlinePro, etc....you've got tons of choices.

with stock ls/b20 motors, rod bolts tend to stretch causing spun bearings. this is very important in order to rev higher than 7000

the b20 isnt weak because its a 2.0, its just the design of the sleaves. but anyway, if you get it sleaved your good to go. from there just build it.
forged pistons
better rods- eagle, crower, etc.
all new bearings, gaskets and oil pump, water pump and timing belt, etc.
build or buy your turbo setup using quaulity parts.

and MOST IMPORTANT, good fuel management and GET IT TUNED.

read and search, and come up with a plan

Thanks for your info. I def plan on overbuilding it just to take that extra step of precaution like you said. As far as building it though, that's all me. I go to UTI so it should be a fun project, plus it won't be the first motor I've built. I just needed a bit more advice because I'm using the b20 engine and it had seemed I'd heard so many different things problem wise that had to do with this build. Thanks again though man.

What do you suppose I should run for fuel management. I'm more then likely going to be using the full-race stage 1 or 2 kit. Any suggestions??

This is for Joe aka 2redstars. Is it possible to get the integra engine package for a b20b?? You know basically just bigger pistons and bigger head gasket a assume. Let me know.
