bov adjustment
so most turbo cars when i hear them rev, their turbo spools and they get a nice blow off out of their bov.....my car doesnt do that, but my bov doesnt even push any air when my car is idling.... do i need to loosen it up for this to happen. i can barely hear it at full throttle over my wastegate also. its a greddy type s on a gsr motor with 10 lbs of boost..... i dont really know whats going on, as i am really new to aftermarker turbo kits.....
most of the cars you hear rev up and theyre bov opens are on really small turbos...youll notice it a lot on dsm's. once you get off the gas, during a shift you shouldnt hear your wastgate at all...wastegate only opens when you reach the set boost level to regulate the boost.
yeah depending on the size of your engine and the size of your turbo you may not blow off in neutral. mine barely does on my gsr with a 57 trim.
I would say that your best bet is to tighten your BOV as much as possible as long as you arent getting any compessor surge. That way its tight enough not to leak and loose enough not to surge.

yeah def loosen the bov to get rid of that surge. either that or its not hooked up properly. it should give you that a nice crispy blow off after that.
