Default Bore B18C for T3/60-1

I have B18C in my '95 hatch and I am planning on getting the turbonetics t3/60-1 ball bearing (stage 5 exhaust wheel) and was wondering if i should bore to 85mm? I am going to sleeve and get eagle rods and JE pistons and ferrea valves. The bigger bore is obviously better torque but it will be easier for sleeves/pistons and i tiny bit stronger with stock 84mm bore. i am planning on 500hp. i was wondering if i have to bore to reach my hp goal, or if good tuning will get me there.

thanks

stock bore is not 84mm. the sleeves will be much stronger than stock sleeves. I'd stick with 84.5 and under for bore if youre going turbo. Tuning is completly seperate from boring, it will not make up for the gains from boring, they are unrelated things. the only way they are related is that you should tune when you bore

i'd just go to 84.5mm, that's as far as i was recommended on my b18c with a
t4 60-1. If this is a daily driver, i wouldn't open it to big.

EDIT: I just read you want 500hp. I made 326 to the wheels on pump gas at 10psi on 84.5mm bore. Over 400hp at 15psi on race gas and with a better fuel setup(bigger pump and lines), we'll push over 500 to the wheels. The 84.5 bore is good enough. You don't want to go to big, you can still crack them.
