Default 81.5mm bore good or bad

i have a sleeved b16im wondering before i bore it out can i mke 400+whp on an 81.5 mm bore or should i go bigger like 84mm


any help please

i always like to leave room for honing in the future. 81.5 is pretty standard.

I usually do 83mm on a sleeved one? You can still go 84mm and 84.5 if you need too.

i hope you arent just boring the block out to that bore for displacement purposes, cos that wont get you ANYTHING!

reason i say that is if you were just looking to make sure the sleeves were true you would want to bore it to 81.5 however you made the jump from 81.5 to 84 which gets me to thinking you are wanting more displacement!

and that will not gain you anything
