Default boosting problem please help

Car has very high vacume, its at -40 when i press on the gas to speed up, it seems to pick up but falls short around 4.5k My gauge does not even go into the boost area.

im assuming there is something wrong with the vacume lines or something. Im tapping the vacume line from the waste gate with the BOV which is also tapping into another line. Could this be my problem?

thanks

if your not boosting then one of your pipes are loose. Check to make sure all the pipes are connected.

Would that cause the vacuum to be so high/low though?

I agree, if you're not boosting, check the charge pipe connections. Do you hear the WG opening at all when you spool?

wow...when i'm not boosting my vacuum is around -25. -40 to-45 is a lot of vacuum IMO.

vac is measured in inches then when in boost measured in psi......

-20 in. vac is normal at idle

check ur diaprham in ur bov if u hear fluttering....it might justbe that lil rubber piece that can be replaced.

If you are reading -40 cm/hg, then that's about -20 in/hg, which is good. When I moved my vac line for my BOV I forgot to plug another vac line and I read around -5 in/hg, which is not good. You might tap the BOV into another vac line and see what happens. It also sounds like you need to recheck all your pipe clamps to check for leaks there. Hope you find your problem!

hey man check your pipes. my car did that too when i blew the charge pipe off the throttle body cuz i had pos clamps. car wouldn't boost and boost guage stayed in vacuum. check your IC piping that could be the culprit.

are you tapping everything off the fpr vacuum line? try the brake booster for either your wg or bov. it made worlds of difference in my bov response time and i'm sure the wg will benifit from here also. i made a tee for the brake booster line so if you want it just come pick it up whenever.
