I was wondering how much boost you could run on a rsx type s. And not have to worry about parts giving way and breaking. The most I would run is 8 psi through the motor, Knowing it has a high comp. ratio. Figured I'd get some more opinions on this, Thanks

Boost isn't the biggest concern. hp is what will kill you, not boost. check out that link. figure out how much hp you're looking for and then choose a turbo and go from there.

Re: boosted k20 (stewie8apie)
Basically my biggest concern is reliability. I don't need high boost levels to be happy, And I don't have the money to drop a new motor in my car if somethin does go wrong. I'm not just concerned about pistons rods ect. You have to think about your valvetrain to. The car wasn't built for high boost for a completly stock motor. My plans for the near future is a comtech supercharger runnin 5 pounds. I know nothin to worry about for now. But my future plans are a built motor. Runnin 10.6-1 ratio with a sc cam setup with a full skunk 2 springs retainers and valves, Then maybe a thicker head gasket and I'll get a upgrade to run 8-11 psi. What are your thoughts on this?

Make sure you research the K-Pro thing for your 2005. There's a fair amount of dicking around that has to be done to get it to work. You need to buy an adapter harness and a 2002-2004 ECU, and change one of the O2 sensors for it to work.

Re: boosted k20 (Jaker)
I've already done a boat load of research into parts and engine mamagement for my car. I owned a 03 type s that was turbocharged with the greddy kit w/ intercooler, I know about all the headaches I'll get at first with the k=pro and adapter harness.
