hey guys, ive got my setup all ruff tuned and ive been playing with it a little...ive got all the maps tuned up to like 10psi in the boost section (with uberdata) and then i just put in a 5-6psi wastegate spring... now the problem is, when i boost, it will stick around that mark of 5-6 psi... but sometimes when im really pushing it in the higher rpms i see boost creep.. sometimes even up to 10psi! i mean it doesnt worry me all that much, cause i have it conservativly tuned in the higher psi anyhow...what might cause this? vacc leak? i have the dump tube running back into the DP if i did that to close to the turbo itself would that cause the creep? the wastegate is just an ssautocrap one.. but i have heard that those have worked well on others cars... thanks for the help...

jesus man.. id love to... but i dont have a camera let alone the computer knowledge to post the picture on here haha but ill try to explain it....

ive got an ssautocrap mani (custom braced a bit) and im running a 3" dp and about 6" from the turbo exhaust outlet i have the DT worked in... its kinda angle cut to help the exhuast flow better... i mean if this is the problem ill just rig up and open DT .... thanks guys...

 

ssac manis are known to creep... take off you wg and look at the massive piece of metal blocking the wg hole

 

if you could find the SS autocrome mani that you used on a website and gave us a link that would also help. Generally with poor WG placement when u open up to a 3" exhaust u can see boost creep especially if you have a cheap WG. However it is prolly the crap Mani. You can find a mani for a decent price if u dont want to fork out for an inline pro. I think there is a guy on Team-integra selling a drag mani for $175.

 

yeah i bought that mani back in the day.. like almost 2 years ago before i was really a member of this site and before i knew how shitty there stuff was...i was gona do a manifold upgrade soon anyhow... is there a mani that i could buy that i wouldnt have to do much DP modification (like lengthening it) the wierd part is.. it only spikes every once in a while....
