Default Boost Problem

OK well I have a problem with the boost gauge not reading vac and boost. It reads one or the other. but not both. Can anyone give me some advice as to why its doing this?? Also the boost gauge only will go to 4psi. I tried my friends boost gauge and nothing same result so its not the boost gauge. all hardpipes are secure. no exhaust leaks either. Anyone want to take a guess as to whats wrong?

Here are some pics of my setup.

I'm not sure if I understand the problem correctly...so, the gauge reads vac but not boost? But it reads up to 4psi? What does it read at idle?

Are you sure your wastegate isn't opening at 4psi? If you hooked up another boost gauge and it read that you were boosting 4psi maybe your wastegate is your problem...

Is your wastegate internal or external?
