Default boost problem?

hello fellow h-t's need some help here, heres my setup on a 99 accord, MT, f23:

pics: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1159629

the setup is:
-a tial 38 mm wastegate
- precision intercooler size 26.75"L x 6.20"H x 3.50"D
-tial blow off valve
-a precision sc-32 t3 turbo with 480 max h.p, and a 360 race bearing system, a 55mm wheel diameter and .63 A/R ratio
-custom built manifold and intercooler piping
- fuel pump
-apexi safc2 to control everything
-boost gauge

heres the problem:
sometimes my boost will not 'hold' for example sometimes it will not hold full boost (8psi) when the throttle is fully open, the boost gauge will read full boost, but the power is non-existent, and sometimes it makes a fluttering noise when this happens, other times it will hold full boost with some occasional spurts of skipping a beat or something (if that makes sense). like it will be foot to the floor and running full boost but will sputter a tiny bit.
all of this happens mainly between 2-4 gears usually not 5th and only when i home from school (in sioux falls) to home in the twin cities when i head back it is fine
what could this be all help is appreciated

check the bov to make sure its not leaking, i bet its one of the couplers loose, you could have a hairline crack thats all it takes to loose thats much pressure

i believe its with the bov, because on mine the bov never opens even when i open the throttle from under the hood, so i believe its the vacuum lines to it or something,

please correct me if i am wrong thanks

high-pressure inline pump like the airtex that comes with the drag kit?

sounds like you fuel system is lacking. It's making the car bog/have no power most likely.

The inability to create full boost all the time is another separate problem.

its better than one that comes with a kit, and it has full boost, but the bov is not opening at all, and that shouldnt happen so i am asking if i am correct in saying the bov isnt opening but should?

BOV not opening is a separate problem from the bogging and the inability to maintain boost... seems you just have a bunch of different problems hehe.

I'd worry about the car bogging/sputtering first. Then fix the boost issue. Then fix the BOV.

maybe i said something in the wrong way, the boost holds all the time, the power sometimes (rarely) does not get to the ground tho, also the bov doesnt open could these two problems be related?

So boost is constant and fine... but the car is spinning the wheels? Or it bogs and has no power? Where is the BOV pressure line tapped?

yes the boost is constant and fine, but at times i hear the power but only about 1/2 of it actually is moving the car the other 1/2 is lost somewhere

the BOV pressure line is split from the BOV and tapped right above the BOV in the IC lines and to the FMU.

FMU and BOV need to get pressure signal AFTER the throttle plate...

This will most definately not work:

so change the pressure lines from both to the pressure plate on the throttle?

Tap BOV and FMU to a pressure source after the throttle plate. Brake booster (before check valve!) is the best source. Or you could use the factory FPR line...

now you talking about an already existing valve or tap it immediatley after throttle on the ic piping?

sorry for the questions, i appreciate the immediate responses!

Throttle plate is after the IC piping

You need to tap it to somewhere that gets pressure signal from the intake manifold (after throttle plate). The factory fuel pressure regulator has a vacuum line from the intake manifold. The brake booster has a vacuum line from the intake manifold. Tap any of these stock locations ... put a T there and connect the FMU and BOV to it.

i tapped the fmu, and bov to the fuel pressure regulator lines, the bov problem is fixed but, i still hear a fluttering noise from either the wg, or the compressor side of the turbo, the bov just makes a wooshing noise, but i still hear a short flutter, what could that be?
