I have a friend that just found a problem in his Boost set-up.
He has a B18B1 on boost with 8-psi, using a Autometer boost guage, knock-off Greddy type blow-off-valve and a Tial 44mm wastegate. The problem he notice was he came to my house yesterday and the car was boosting 8-psi using vaccum from the turbo but the top of the wastgate had a bolt covering the vent hole of the wastgate which I think should be open to atmosphere if you not using elcetronic boost controller. So he remove the bolt from the top of the wastegate and left it open then when he left to go home the would only boost up to 5-psi. He then put back the bolt on thop off the wastegate and drove the again but he had the same problem 5-psi. Could you guy's recommend any help as to what might be the problem.????

From 8-psi boost to 5-psi boost on its own, its crazy . It have me puzzle, why it wont boost back up to 8-psi of boost.???
