boost map resolution (load points) on hondata, crome, etc
Im still unsure of what to buy..I just downloaded crome, and the high cam map for boost is 20rpm point x 16 map point map. So you can get another 6 points on the map axis (120 load points) for 14 pounds of air, or whatever you set it to, depending on the map sensor. Those 6 points on the map axis could be spead out over whatever, so obviously you'd lose a lot of resolution at high levels of boost.
Then, I downloaded the SManager software for the hondata s300. Supposedly it has a 24map point x 20rpm point map. However, I can Only get that resolution on the 5 bar map sensor. In other words, it doesn't divide up the resolution, it adds rows as you add boost. That's legit to preserve resolution at high boost levels, but you only get 3 points on the map axis (60 load points) for 14psi. To me, that intuitively seems stupid. You have 10 map intersect points for the first atmosphere (n/a), and then only 3 for the next (boost)? Am I just being retarded, is there a way to use the Full resolution of the map for less than 60 pounds of boost? I'd want to have all that resolution with a 3bar sensor.
Is there something I'm missing here?
p.s. I didn't feel like posting this on the hondata forum, I know how they ignore posts..
When is the neptune rtp coming out..damnit..

So then crome would be better, because you wouldn't have to run 60psi to get to use all the load points?

I too would like to know if the resolutoin of the map with the s300 can be improved upon. Can anyone with an s-300 clarify this?
Thanks

I personally use AEM but Crome is nice. It has the ability to add resolution if you use the proper plug-in.
