Default boost on low compression vs. high compression

would a motor running low boost and high compression have a better low end response than a motor running high boost and low compression?

higher compression will have a better responce.

The high compression setup will have more power out of boost.

That's what I need to make my way down to the super market to buy milk.

"Wow, thank god we had 100 horsepower at part throttle back there instead of 96 horsepower at part throttle, that full point of compression made the difference between life and death!"

I have friends who swear by high compression turbo setups because it improves their "off boost response", but I would rather have more power blasting around at WOT when I want lots of power, than having a few more horsepower at part throttle to lug me around town.

He asked for an answer to his question, not an opinion.

Compression vs. Boost -- has nothing to do with Hondas- but the theories are correct. Lock this thread.

As to what is better, its all in what you prefer. Low compression with 10lbs will make more peak hp than high compression with 10lbs. i know this doesnt really answer your question. Because with more volume in the cylinder, the more air/fuel mixture can be compressed, thus more output of power per stroke.

You got that backwards buddy. High compression and 10psi will make more peak power than low compression and 10psi, assuming the same turbo.
