Can you use the same source for the 12 v and the ignition? I'm also confused about this matter. Someone told me to use the cigarrette lighter for the ignition. Now, where do i find a constant 12 v source?

pull out your owners manual. just plug it into a fuse in the fuse box. for light source, wire it into the fuse for "instrument lights". for ignition, plug the wire into the radio fuse. use the radio fuse for 12v too. its really simple.

There should be plugs near the fuse box that have spades sticking out of them. All you need is a test light to find out which one is 12v constant, 12v ignition? there is like 5 of slots there and u can just get a female spade and plug it there. Hope you understand what i mean. Paul

OK this is what you need to do. Go buy a test light (really cheap). Connect the ground wire of the test light to the body of the car. Then with the key turned off start probing wiring with the test light until the test light turns on. That will be your constant 12v. Connect that to your 12v power source wire. Then with the key turned on start probing wires until the light comes on again. Now to make sure that this isnt a constant 12v turn the key of and make sure the light turns off. If so this will be connected to the ignition wire. OK? got it so far? Now for the light source turn your parking lights on and then start probing again until the light comes on. Again to make sure this isnt a constant 12v turn the lights off and make sure the test light turns off. This will be connected to your light source wire.
Hope this makes sense. Good luck.

EDIT: And oh yeah your ground wire connect to the body of the car somewhere.
