Default Cranking power source

Can anyone reccomend a good power source to tap my gauges to that does not cut during cranking? Is it a good idea to use the IGP1 yellow/black and put additional load on that circuit? Potential 2-3A total load, WBO2 and Electronic Boost Gauge

Why do you need your gauges while cranking?

I wouldn't put any more on that channel than whats on it...

My AEM boost gauge requires a non interrupted power source, it's a PITA. It re-calibrates every time it's power interrupted for more than ~ 2-3 sec, so if my car doesn't fire right up it try's to calibrate (zero) at vacuume. Having the wideband warmed up and functioning Pre start helps tune the cranking and post fuel compensation.

Been wondering the same thing for the exact same reason... My NGK AFX takes 20 seconds to run though its boot-up countdown before it even starts reading. Would be nice to view AFR's during cranking(not as important) and immediately after startup.

EDIT: You could run a relay off the IGP1 circuit. Simple.

Wow...yuck.

There should be a circuit in the fuse box on the drivers side that you can tap into that is constant power even under cranking...but I would really avoid, if at all possible tapping into ECU wiring.

If you are going to run a separate relay, I would advise that you do it off of the main fuel relay, this unit receives power even under cranking and is separated from the ECU wiring.
