boost falling out???
do any of you guys have this problem, ok lets say i have the throttle floored, and i am at redline(7800) and i let up just enough to shift to second, then my car falls out of boost and has to rebuild boost again from like the 3 psi all the way back up to 16psi, is this normal or is this some sort of compressor surge??
i have tried to adjust the BOV from real tight to real loose and all in between.
all help is appreciated
thanks

you will drop boost between shifts, but not for long at all. it will spool back up quite quickly. hondata has an option on it (i am not too familiar with it, if i am incorrect please correct me) that lets you shift and keeps your TB open, WOT shifting or something along those lines....
well mine drops completely out of boost, and takes quit abit of time to make it bak up.... could it be the damn DELTAGATE??? will a TIAL make this go away?? i am crrently using TURBO X's boost controller........ could this do this??

Looks like a leak somewhere to me. I usually can tell if the piping is leaking by holding at a certain boost low level and watching if it falls off or stays steady. Be careful, if you stay in boost in one gear too long you can surge.

DooDoo,
Can you explain what you mean by "if you stay in boost in one gear too long you can surge" that brings up lots of questions on my end like what happens when you're driving down the highway and your boosting.
Thanks,
Noel

I tried my brothers tial on my car (i have deltagate) when my brother was fixing this oil return line and the spool up was the same, nothing changed.
What I mean is if you are entering say the freeway. You are in fourth and you are waiting for the right spot to cut in. You hold your revs about 4000rpms just before you floor it to jump in the hole you see. Then you can surge your turbo. It makes a wicked sound. Shuuu Shuuu Shuuu
