Still having boost problems(profec B)
ok guys im still having problems getting my car to hold steady boost. what should i look for??? ive checked the piping and it seems to be good. could it be the bov?
boost will go up to lets say 8.5 lbs , then go down to like 7.9 right away , then slowly creep down to like 7.4 , i dont get why it wont hold boost , is it my boost controller?

ok i just got back from fiddling with it , i took off the boost controller vacume lines ,and put it back to stock boost. and it held boost at 5.5 like its supposed to , so i can rule out a boost leak.
what do the things on the back do? and i have tried everything on the boost controller to get it to hold boost and it just fluctuates.
gain cant be set higher than the target boost pressure % right?

for the regular profec B in the directions when its says your overboosting on a external wastegate to change the settings on the back to......
4 3 2 1
. ' . '
edit - you have a spec 2 ...... oh well i dont know **** about those

you need to put the set gain about 2 lbs lower than whatever you want to boost to, that stops if for fluctuating the wastegate to try and compensate for the pressure drop. You need the gain around 20%, and adjust with set, not gain. If this isn't your problem then you have it hooked up wrong.
I have a 9 lb spring in my Tial, and make 12-13 on low boost and 16-17 on high boost. I can't remember what the high boost settings are, but low boost is 19% set, 20% gain, and set gain is 105. Remember this is all in lbs, not bar, because I'm a US citizen, and refuse the ******* metric system (haha)

sorry man, maybe I meant set gain....its whatever is after the gain setting when you're pushing the mode button...dude, you got the same manual I did, read that bastard for about 3 days, and the Engrish becomes your second language...remember set gain is in lbs, not percent like the rest of that **** is...

ok im playing with it and im starting to get it.....im just trying to tune for 8 lbs
so i set the set gain to like 6 , then gain to 20% , then like 15 for the pressure. still cant get it fine tuned i dont know which way to go with it

ya i dont talk in bar either **** that crap , its an internal wasegate at 5.5 lbs......
so i set my gain to 20% , and set gain to 6 lbs cause i want 8 lbs , then adjust with the pressure right? the one where you just turn the **** , you dont press mode to get to.

thanks man i appreciate it , i had this thing so fucked up and backwards in my head..... i thought set boost was in % just like the others , i thought the pressure setting was what you wanted your boost to be at , and i didnt think you could set gain higher than the pressure.....i was all fucked up
