Which Boost controller is the best????
I'm looking for a new Boost controller. Now is the question, which boost controller is the best? I'm thinking off a Greddy profec type S or a Greddy profec B 2.
Which one is better?

I tried the Profec b2 but couldnt get it dialed into my likings. So i sold it and bought a Turbo XS MBC as a temp fix and then bought a AEM
But to keep on topic...
I would do the type S i think it is. Its there 2-3 **** job. I heard its easy to set.
If u got the extra funds avail i would suggest the EVC from HKS or AEM EMS..
It's not about BEST. It's about what is best for YOU. read the features in terms of what you need, as well as your preferences, and be prepared to do a little work in making sure it is right. Everyone has different preferences, MBC or EBC, w/ different controls, types, features, and usability.....
The EVC from HKS isn't very good according a test.

I prefer also AEM EMS but that is to expensive for me if I must buy a new one. And I don't know if it works with OBD0.
I have a honda civic coupe with B16a1 (OBD0) and I'm building it for turbo application. It's a daily driven car and I want to run on 16 psi. But when I'm going to streetrace I want to crank up the boost to 23 psi.
My plan was to adjust the ecu on the dyno on a boost of 23 psi and then lower the boost wit a boost controller to 16 psi for driving around.
Is this a good thing to do?

If your tune of 23psi is a good one, ie, its afr and timing are doing what you want, then when you lower the boost to 16 you will be fine.
jist: if your motor will last on the 23psi tune, then it will also on the 16psi.

NO. unless you were to use AEM EMS, or honata as your ECU. both of those will run your engine according to boost pressure, RPM, and air fuel ratio. (there is more to it than that)
With those ecu's you can tune your engine to run a constant a/f for a given rpm or boost level. after all is said and done. and you have tuned your maps in the ECU you will be able to run any PSI in between vaccum - 23psi. or whatever you tuned your highest boost pressure to be.

I'm going to use turbo edit because hondata does not work on OBD0 else I have to do a wiring conversion. Is that also good?
Turbosmart e-Boost2
Hands down, the most sophisticated boost controller on the market. Its in my car, and I swear by it.

Blitz Dual Spec R SBC here and loving it. It has NEVER creeped of caused an overboost.
Here is a pic... it is the box on the steering column....

The best boost controller is the one thats gona work the best on your setup, and what your trying to do with your car. 2 stage plus is the best way to go.

no boost controllers are generally completely independant of the ems and ecu (except AEM ems, and maybe a few others). you will need an ems or ship or management of some kind to tune the higher boost settings though
