I dont know how far you are from the DEL Mem Bridge, but I have a full 2.5" AL set of piping if you were interested, all TIG welded by AFI.... not willing to ship but I will gladly meet you there.

ya i agree . those look like the home depot "plumbing" couplers.. i know because i used to use them on my 1st ever setup. they would pop off and explode like balloons all the time.. u gotta change them to the silicon type with cloth webbing inside they wont come off. and the piping looks fine.. i use vibrant ones and even a few ebay ones with the cloth in them. they wont stretch or pop off.

nah it's definitely being mandrel bent. its a muffler shop in north jersey, but besides just muffler work, he actually builds and rebuilds cars so he's got a lot of stuff in the shop.

he's actually building a '67 camaro that's gonna be racing in the show pinks, at raceway park in july.

get a better coupler... at least a 3 ply. Never had issues with the set-up I've worked on... even with 20 psi boost.

I've been having a similar problem with the couplers coming off, with on 7lbs of boost. My question is 'Is there any drawback form just welding the whole thing together to get rid of all the couplers and clamps?'
Maybe not to the throttle body or to the turbo itself but everything else I'm planning on making a permanent fixture.
