Default More boost

i have a older model HKS BOV. i had to remove the lock nut and screw the bolt on the top all the way to do get up to 7psi. will get more boost with a longer bolt from the hardware store? or would i have to purchase a new BOV to get more boost?

you don't get more boost by adjusting the BOV!!! you need a boost controller manual or elec..

i have a MBC and when i did turn it up the blov off was only letting the boost go up to 5 psi b4 the springs was opening from the pressure. screwing the Bov bolt all the way down it held pressure up to 7psi. The question was if i used a longer bolt from the hardware store would the spring stiffen to hold more pressure before opening, or would i have to buy a new blow off valve for it.

You probally need a stiffer spring in the bov. Actually, something is wrong, any bov should deff. be able to handle more than 5psi without leaking.

yea the screw was backed out pretty much when it was only holding 5. with it screwed all the way down it holds 7.5 psi. where would i get the spring to put in there? or just save the hassle and buy a new BOV?
