Default blocking off internal wastegate???

i can get a good deal on a T4 from my freind. it only has like 400miles on it but has an internal wastegate. i will only be running 11 psi till i get a 3 bar map sensor.( then the real fun starts). so i was wondering what it takes to block of or remove the wastegate so i can run an external tail.

motor is a built gsr.

is it a 5 bolt flange? I dunno what t4 turbines come with but you can buy flanges for the 5 bolt that block off the wastegate and u weld yur dp to the flange and bolt it to the turbine housing which block off internal gate....or u can weld the flapper shut, or if its another type of flange u cant buy or its hard to find you can have a machine shop make u something...

Not true. High boost levels can blow an internal flapper open. You probably won't be running enough boost to do that, but it is something to consider.

Just tack weld the flapper closed, or weld a plate over the hole.
