Which block is better to build for boost?
https://honda-tech.com/zeropost?cmd=reply&id=3841359 You tell me... It's all up to how much your looking to spend.
They're the same block... Right?
No...different rod ratio, crank...Ect....

Aren't you going to change all those if you built.

No they are differnt blocks, even if you change out rods, pistons, the ls actually has more cc's then the GSR. but in my opinion the GSr is better, better crank, ALOT better head, but the b18b cost less.
But aren't we talking blocks here. Not heads.
Plus we are talking built blocks.
If I build a block I would go with an Eagle Forged, Balanced, polished crank anyways. Plus I'm changing the Rods and pistons.
Now whats different about the blocks? I believe they're the same. . . Right?
If i'm correct. b16, b18, b20 all share the same block, right?
If you're talking about a bare block, it probably doesn't really matter that much. You need to look at the big picture(s) though. The main thing is, how much money do you have, and how much power do you want. That will help you decide which engine to buy. Any Honda engine will kick *** with sleeves and forged internals...
I went B18B myself because it's the cheapest way I could come up with to get lots of power.

How can a 1.6 ltr block be the same as a 2.0ltr?
Different Crank, Rods, and pistons.
Same Block.

the Si/GSR/type R share the same block. only reason the Si has .2L less is b/c of the crank.
