Default blitz bov

whhy doesnt my bov make a sharp sound, it just sounds like air is gettin released but not a nigh pitched one?

what psi are you running and where did you tap for the vac line. dont share that line with alot of other things. find a good dedicated vac line for it.

u may also need to adjust it. I adjusted mine at idle. just let your car idle, put your finger into the bov and feel the piston.. loosen it until the valve is close to being OPEN at idle.

im running at 8 and it has its own vac line to the back on the intake mani. i adjusted it but it doesnt make a difference?

is it a used valve? perhaps it needs to be lubed. get some silicone spray on that piston.

it is a brand new one....what kind of silicone are you talking about. just spray where hte opening is or open it?

silicone is so thin that u dont have to open it. just blip the throttle from the engine bay to move the piston around and spray. Although, since the valve is new you shouldnt have to lube it.

why dont you try another vac port. see if it makes a difference.

well its in new condition, had it in december and then blew the motor, now it is currently up and running again. but i dont recall it sounding correctly the first time. i'll try the lube....so hit hte throttle cable a few times and spray in the silicone?

yeah u can feel the piston move and and down when u blip the throttle.. just spray and blip. that is, if its the problem. did u try the other vac source?

if you are using the blitz DD BOV its not as loud as the older "horn" style, I had both on the same car.

switch over to the horn outlet (yes it fits) and your bov will be ugly but super loud

also take out the filter screen.
