Too easy Plus it would require making a new thread on how to paint the intercooler.

Re: black intercooler (adictionbass)
Yeah I checked a bunch of stores too. Even a old-school speed shop. They said they had never heard of radiator paint. Told me to just use hi-temp paint.
I think radiator paint is a h-t invention. Maybe. google.com disagrees with me.

how to paint the IC:
1. Angle can 45 degrees.
2. Can 1 ft. away from IC
3. Spray until satisfied with color.
4. Paypal me 5 bucks for teaching you the black art of painting an IC.

Re: black intercooler (Brnymac)
I had my intercooler "hard" anodized black by a local anodizing place. Hard anodizing penetrates fairly deep into the metal, more then sulfuric or chromic anodizing. The process treats both the inside and outside of the intercooler. The aluminum is hardened somewhat by this process and will be protected from oxidization. It's the best way to protect your investment but it will cost around $150. Oh and it only adds 1/1000 of an inch to the surface of the intercooler. I would not paint an intercooler.

Re: black intercooler (DefiantGSR)
Just to add to this topic since I just painted my intercooler. Don't spray the IC head on, spray it from the top, then from the sides so it only hits the front of the IC. I painted mine and it looks great, but on close inspection you can see that only the front 3 - 4mm of the IC is painted.
I used a radiator paint that has a heat dissipating chemical in it (at least thats what it claims on the can).
