Re: big boost on Jdm B16 (****S OF HAZARD)
bore the motor to like 83mm and try to increase the flow of the 1.6 displacement is the key with a b16 if you want big numbers and a big turbo

OK first of all, If you run 20psi on a small turbo you won't make alot of power. Secondly if you are setting a goal(or your friend, whoever) go for an ET or WHP amount not PSI. There are way too many things that play into making power at 20psi. Size of turbo probably being the most important.
A few questions you may want to answer so we can help:
Whats your budget?
How much whp? et goal?
Daily driven?
Pump gas? Race Fuel?
Do you have any idea what you are getting yourself into?
Best of luck with it and if you answer those questions i am sure more people will reply. Good luck man, and you will love it

If 6k includes just the money you have to put INTO the motor than you have an OK start but really nothing special.
1. Sleeve bore(83 or 84 mm) deck hone o-ring block- $1000
2. nice rods and CP pistons- $1100
3. custom turbo setup with nice components- $2800
4. Fuel setup- $500
5. clutch, flywheel, LSD- $1200
And that is still not complete but there goes all your money. You are going to need more money if you want that kind of power on pump gas daily driven. It's expensive man, I am 9k deep and my motor doesnt even run yet! and that doesnt include any turbo components, fuel, or tranny!
Good luck and tell your buddy to save UP

Your going to need a lot more then $500 into the fuel set-up and tuning. $500 will get you injectors and a fuel pump and maybe a little more

$500 should be fine for his goals. . . $285 for 85lb injectors + $90 for Walbro = $375 . . . what else would he need? You could even throw in some -6 or -8 fuel lines and still be under $500.

Re: (AVATAR)
i say probe rods
83-84 weisco's or cp pistons
sleeve by rs i believe there is a GB in sponsor pages for 750
crower springs retainers
walbro 255 wired speed has em for 109 shipped maybe cheaper if u ask nice
880 precision injectors importparts has a pretty good buy on em
Fuel rail ur pref
fpr ur choice as well
t3/t4 from cheapturbo is like 550 i think (could go bigger but i think that will do the job)
Kteller8 makes a good 3" mandrel bent really good pricing too
Vtec92Civic makes pretty good ic piping
68-70mm TB i like my str
there are a few peeps selling sst manifolds for like 600 or so
im sure i am miising alot but thats a start ur gonna run short for sure lol i did but its better to go a little over budget and be done then skimp and have something break

I wasn't incuding tuning (i.e hondata, aem, etc) into the turbo package of $2800, maybe he was cluding it there....$500 for fuel management (not just fuel delivery) is what i was thinking

Re: (b16ahybrid)
Im wondering the same thing, I want to hit 400whp off the b16. Can I acheive this with the t3/t4 that came with the drag kit? I like the turbo spools a little slow but that should be more then made up for after the boost is turned up. Is anyone out their hitting 400whp off their b16. And this is in my Ek hatch
I ran 13.8 @ 106 with the worst launch in the world and a 2.5 60ft at 7.5psi
Im thinking Maybe some cames and a better turbo mani, and intake manifold and tunning, oh and 18 or so psi the car should RIP
