I am in the process of piecing a turbo kit together for my JDM b16 in my 89 Si hatchback. I was just wondering if somebody had some numbers that they ran or knew of made on a stock b16. How much boost could it be daily driven on and rev limit to be safe. I am tuning with wideband and Turbo edit.

what about as far as boost? I am running a Precision Gt3250 Turbo (.48 .70 specs) I trying to figure out what wasegate spring I should run.

 

10-15psi

 

Make sure you get a good, safe tune, and use good quality gas. And I mean both octane and brand name.

If you dont know the potenial of a b16 inline four honda motor than I think you need to pick up some issue's of hondatuning and d-sport magazines.

It is well known that these motors can produce 700whp. On the right dyno tune and turbo setup.

Read the title before you post. Otherwise some kid is going to try and get 700whp out of his stock B16.

 

lol yeah the stock b-series. Well for a safe setup think about 290 on 12psi.

 

Whats the most Boost a B16a can take? & hp?

It's not the boost it's the power, and like posted many times before around 300whp.

 

i always thought that to be safe it was like 8 psi max?
