B18c1 Turbo kit, Lots of questions
I have a lot of questions about turbocharging my civic. The setup I have now is a 2000 gsr swapped civic with a OBDI p72 ecu and mugen axle back exhaust. I want to make in the range of 200-250 whp, so I just recently purchased a t3/t4 .48 A/R turbo kit and my questions are:
1. Would I need to upgrade my stock injectors/fuel pump running 6-8 psi?
2. I have some itr cams, skunk2 valve springs and titanium retainers. Would it be worth my time to install these parts, or should I just sell them?
3. I know I will need some tuning, do I need to chip my ecu for a tune? (I am also going to instal a wideband o2 sensor before I put the turbo in, if that makes a difference)
4. I live 10 minutes from King Motorsports, so I was thinking of having them do a tune, but they charge $550 for a turbo tune. Is that way overpriced?
5. Is it really worth it for me to change my exhaust if I am running low boost?

Which T3/T4 turbocharger? What you've stated is simply the designation of the housings and compressor wheel family (there are 20 wheels that can fit into it. This is important when you ask your question about how much PSI to use
1. Would I need to upgrade my stock injectors/fuel pump running 6-8 psi?
Short answer: "Yes, with an IF", Long answer: "No, with a BUT".
Yes, especially if you plan to use proper engine management in order for King to do a proper job and to keep you reliable. They will recommend Hondata S300. I would follow that advice.
Some still use Stock injectors w/ a 12:1 FMU, but that was from 1998-2000, there are more reliable ways to get the right power now, so avoid this option, please.
You'll need to upgrade injectors, fuel pump (Walboro 342 - 255lph pump). There is no need to change fuel rails. PSI is irrelevant unless you know what turbo you're using.
2. I have some itr cams, skunk2 valve springs and titanium retainers. Would it be worth my time to install these parts, or should I just sell them?
You have them, use them. They will be of good use to you. Have them professionally installed before putting the turbo kit together. Make sure the rest of the car is mechanically sound.
3. I know I will need some tuning, do I need to chip my ecu for a tune? (I am also going to instal a wideband o2 sensor before I put the turbo in, if that makes a difference)
If you are using Hondata S300, and you're 10 minutes away from King, let them do the "chipping' for you, since they may not charge for it if you're going through them to get the system (again, highly recommended). They will setup a temporary map for you to take the car to them, based upon the injector size used, so you can go back to them and have it completely tuned properly
4. I live 10 minutes from King Motorsports, so I was thinking of having them do a tune, but they charge $550 for a turbo tune. Is that way overpriced?
Not at all. That is a fair price for both partial throttle and WOT tune. Most of the time will be spent getting the partial throttle and "drivability" portion done. WOT tuning takes much less time
5. Is it really worth it for me to change my exhaust if I am running low boost?[/QUOTE]
That's entirely up to you. Again, don't worry about PSI so much as the power you want to achieve. The GSR can easily take up to about 350whp, before you start to need to change the internal components of the car (pistons, rods, studs, etc). But 2.5" exhaust can do just fine. If you're on an NA exhaust, it can work, but will be restrictive. Plan to change your exhaust system at a later time (you won't need to retune), but an upgraded clutch is a MUST. Plan for it.
Hope this is a bit helpful.

Re: B18c1 Turbo kit, Lots of questions
I have a brand new Exedy oem spec clutch and a Skunk2 IM that I also plan on installing before I install the turbo. The turbo I will be using is: http://treadstoneperformance.com/pro...im+stage+2+.48. I can get my hands on my choice of either stock injectors from a 99 gs-t or brand new RC 660cc injectors for the same price. Which injectors do you recommend, considering that I am looking for 200-250 whp?

The OEM spec will not work for long on your 200-250whp car. You will need to upgrade to the Exedy 08950B sprung ceramettalic (sp?) clutch. This is known as their stage II.
The v-trim compressor wheel will work ok for a GS-R, but not the exhaust wheel or turbine wheel. That will limit your potential by quite a bit. Those are designed for LS or D-series engine with longer stroke and less power output for your rpm use.
PM- me for a better turbo choice for a better value.
