ok im going to be picking up a b18a1 from a guy that bought a machine shop it was in the back room when he got it. i want to build it for boost it is a fresh block with a block guard has h beam rods not sure type of pistons has clutch flywheel crank. getting it for $400. my goal is 400hp will the block be ok around that hp?

 

I do believe that you should make good power. If you're wanting the 400hp mark, the parts you use on the rest of the build are going to have to be all reputable parts.

 

depending on the bore size, yes. Stock sleeves are typically good to the 500hp neighbor hood.

You'll need to find out what pistons and rods it has. No point to throw money at it when you don't know what's inside it.
