automatic k20 drag car??
ok so a good friend of mine has a k20 full drag civic with 42r and itbs, air to water ic.. any ways he wants to ditch the manual tranny.. what kind of power can a auto k20 tranny take?? is there a kit to beef up a k20 auto tranny or is he gonna have to get a different kind of tranny???

i dont think honda makes a auto tranny suitable for performance use. The b-series and d-series trannys seem to take a crap pretty fast even under moderate forced induction use. Manual is his best bet IMO

well this car is a full drag car.. im talking low 9 second car maybe in the high 8s.. what tranny are the pro fwd cars running?? the gm 3 speed...
