Default ARP head stud/block issue

Hey guys. please help me on this one. I need constructive opinions.

B18c5 motor. Building for 300-500HP turbo. One of my head stud is sitting higher than the other ones. Distributor side top. I feel very iffy about whether i will run into trouble being that the one stud is not consistant with the others. Please give me some opinions.

Thanks.

You could run a thread tap/chaser down the hole with grease on it to clean up the threads some. Or, if they are the old style ARP studs without an allen head on the top, just put 2 nuts on it and use a socket on it to seat the stud further, but if it doesn't go down easy, you may have some messed up threads in the block. And that's when you would need the tap.

go get a tap for it and tap it......i had the same problem as u and I was an IDIOT and forced the stud in thinking it would be fine......big mistake......i was trying to torque down my head and that one wouldnt torque so i took off the head to check and that stud stripped the thread in the block and i had to get a timesert kit $400 to fix it
