Default Anyone wondering why their Project Boost Controller is a POS?...

Simple answer...the spring is too god damn big.

Here is a comparison shot of the spring (on the left) with my dawes devices boost controller spring (on the right). The dawes devices, will hold boost great while the Project Boost controller gave me either my Tial WG spring pressure of 9psi, or 30+ (because the valve was simply held shut by the HUGE spring). The spring is almost quite litterally as stiff as my RM valve springs!

I'm going to try and find a smaller spring of the same diameter, and then retry the boost controller. I think the controller would work great, if it had a propperly sized spring installed...

Ouch! That spring looks oversized. No wonder it does not work properly (Based on your comments, not my own experience.)

That crap is ridiculous!!!

Go to Ace Hardware - that's where I got the springs I've used in my homemade $5 MBC. The one I'm using looks exactly like the one from your Dawes MBC.

Yup, they have a huge selection. I picked up a variety of springs that I'll try out. I'm still not so sure on how its gonna work though, since it works kinda opposite of a ball/spring design. The spring is what will open the valve. The tighter you turn the ****, the more the spring will push on the valve and let air pass... It might be good as an air regulator (for 200psi+ air compressors), but I think spool up is going to suffer. We'll see how it goes.

That spring on the left does indeed look like a valvespring, might be of a lesser spring ratio though.

It's a lot smaller than a valve spring... I just said that so people could conceptualize how stiff the spring really is.
