Default Anyone running an oil restrictor?

I made one with a 0.078" opening that I'm going to put on the turbo -3AN supply line to hopefully cure my oil spraying out the compressor inlet problem. Is this too small, too big, just right?

keep us updated, i believe i have to do the same thing, and i do not want to "pinch" the line...

but instead of oil spraying out of inlet, it's out exhaust outlet, i've narrowed it down and must be oil pressure more than what exhaust pressure and turbo seals can handle... do you have a turbonetics turbo???

Now i think it might just be a seal that is misaligned, etc... have you had yours sent repaired? Is it new?

Ok, got an oil "restrictor" on now but haven't made any hard runs... still making sure enough oil is still getting through to cool turbo, and checking the return appears to get hot quick so i'm assuming it's working... and no problems driving for 1/2 hour today.

Anycase, i took an a/c expansion valve and drilled it out, then stuck it in the oil feed line, appears to be working, but want to be SURE before pushing it...

basically it's just a copper coil(3/16"?) almost solid, with a very very tiny hole in it of which i drilled open to 1/16" but leaves a plenty thick tube which still fits inside the oil feed line. I expanded the ends so it still moves in the an fitting of the feed line, but cannot move into the line or the turbo

anyone with experience with this??? is 1/16" big enough for sufficient oil to cool the turbo?

I tapped a -3AN to 1/8 NPT Earls aluminum fitting with a 6mm tap (the NPT end). Then bottomed out a 6mm bolt in the tapped fitting and cut the head off and ground it flush. Then I drilled a 5/64" hole through the ground off bolt and installed it on the non turbo end of my -3AN turbo oil supply line. And I'm still spraying oil. Next step is to plug the oil return line hole in the oil pan and put one higher up by the pan bolts on the passenger side of the pan. Just hate dicking around with that oil pan it's a PITA to get off.
